●Membership in CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) provides a channel to current trends and techniques to benefit individuals living with ADHD and parents of children with ADHD practical skills to successfully support and manage specific parenting challenges.
●Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Practitioner and ICF Professional Life Coach credentials allow me to extend the focus of my work and incorporate additional coaching tools needed to help clients emotionally heal. By reshaping their negative thoughts, beliefs and social skills, cognitive restructuring techniques dismantle ADHD negativity and provide the client a more balanced way to look at things.
●Professional Training presented me extensive tools to help clients overcome poor self-esteem, which is characterized by a lack of confidence, directly leading an individual to having a poor self-image. Through coaching we work on changing your mental picture of yourself. Having a positive perception of oneself is the foundation for your relationship with others. These valuable assets contribute to my coaching toolbox skills when working with students, adults and parents of individuals who exhibit core ADHD symptoms, Executive Function impairments and poorly developed self-regulation skills.
●A Strong Behavioral Intervention Background helps clients calm the chaos surrounding the family. I enable clients with practical skills needed to set boundaries, communicate more effectively with their child, be consistent in following through and implement a personal behavior modification plan that includes positive and negative consequences.
●Collaborative Process is not purely designing a personalized action plan consisting of a systematic approach for clients to reach their goals. It is about enlightening clients with practical skills when repeated frequently become second nature in managing these challenges. This gives clients the ability and confidence to transfer newly created HABITS and BEHAVIORS into having lasting effects. Our coaching relationship will provide you a “FEEL GOOD ENDING.”
